Product Overview
The Iron and Manganese Removal Water Filtration System is an advanced automatic water purification device designed for removing excess iron (Fe²⁺/Fe³⁺) and manganese (Mn²⁺) from groundwater, well water, and industrial water sources. This integrated system combines oxidation, filtration, and automatic backwash in one compact unit to effectively reduce iron and manganese concentrations to meet drinking water and industrial standards.
Working Principle
Raw water first undergoes aeration or oxidation, converting dissolved iron and manganese ions into insoluble oxides (Fe(OH)₃, MnO₂). These oxidized particles are then trapped within a special catalytic filter media bed (such as manganese sand or Birm). Clean water flows through the outlet while retained solids are periodically removed via an automatic backwash process controlled by pressure differential or timer. The system may include air injection, ozone oxidation, or chemical dosing depending on water characteristics.
