The Ultrafiltration (UF) Membrane is an advanced separation technology widely used in water purification and wastewater treatment. Working Principle
Ultrafiltration operates under low transmembrane pressure to drive water through the membrane surface. Contaminants larger than the membrane pores are retained on the surface (retentate), while clean water (permeate) passes through. Depending on the system design, UF membranes can be configured for outside-in or inside-out filtration modes. Periodic backwashing and chemical cleaning maintain long-term performance and extend membrane life.
