Product Description
Peripheral Drive Sludge Scraper 6m – 50m Tank Anti Corrosion
Product Overview

The Peripheral Drive Sludge Scraper is a continuous sludge and scum removal system designed for large circular sedimentation tanks. Driven from the periphery around a central column, the scraper arms rotate slowly to collect sludge from the bottom and skim scum from the surface. This system offers reliable performance, low maintenance requirements, and is widely used in both municipal and industrial wastewater treatment applications.

Working Principle

The scraper system consists of a working bridge, central column, drive unit, scraper arms, and scum removal system. The drive motor and gearbox rotate the arms around the tank center, with bottom scrapers pushing settled sludge to the central hopper while surface skimmers move scum to the scum trough. Sludge is discharged through a pipe and scum is removed by overflow or pumping, ensuring continuous sedimentation and automatic sludge removal.

Main Components
  • Central Column: Supports rotating parts; constructed from stainless steel or coated carbon steel
  • Bridge: Connects tank periphery and center, carrying the drive assembly
  • Drive Unit: Integrated motor, reducer, and wheel; provides stable transmission
  • Scraper Arm & Blade: Push sludge to the central hopper
  • Scum Scraper: Collects and directs surface scum
  • Sludge Hopper & Pipe: Concentrated sludge discharge outlet
  • Control System: PLC-based control with torque monitoring and protection
