The decanter rests at its standby position above the water surface during fill and aeration phases. When decanting begins, the drive unit lowers the arm until the adjustable weir submerges to the preset depth. Water flows gently over the weir and through the sealed discharge pipe, while the anti floating mechanism holds the assembly steady. The control system raises the arm automatically once the target level is reached, ready for the next cycle.
